Montag, 03.11.2014: Some aspets of the mathematical treatment of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation

This talk is based on my paper Th. Jecko. On the mathematical treatment of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation. J. Math. Phys. 55, 053504 (2014). that reviews some mathematical tools. This paper is actually a response to previous papers published in the Chemistry literature. I shall present some questions that some Chemists try to treat and the difficulties they encountered.

Dienstag, 04.11.2014: On the semi-classical approximation of the propagator of Schrödinger matrix-operators

While the semi-classical approximation of the scalar time-dependent Schrödinger equation is well-know, the case of matrix-operators is still open. I shall try to explain what are the main difficulties and to present strategy to get such an approximation in a special case. This is a work in progress.
