Mathematical Physics Group

Mathematical physics is nowadays considered a subfield of mathematics. As mathematical physicists, we use and improve the rigorous methods of mathematical analysis to study problems arising in physics.

Common themes at the Mathematical Physics group in Tübingen are the use and further development of methods from functional analysis, partial differential equations,  spectral theory, representation theory, and probability to study problems arising in quantum physics, especially in quantum many-body physics, quantum statistical physics, quantum information theory, and foundations of quantum theory.

More information on specific research topics can be found on the personal websites of the individual group members.
